"We are a family of 5 who settled in beautifully to Dan and Deborah’s place as we explored the Perigord Noir. Our days were full, beginning slowly with early morning walks and coffee in the garden. We had a lovely week exploring many caves, Chateau’s, rafting down the La Dordogne River, discovering the Marche Nocturnal Gourmand and shopping at local markets. Returning home to cook delicious meals in the well-supplied kitchen and relax in the garden was a highlight! Our children loved the space surrounding the gite to run around and explore. Communication leading up to our stay was professional and as we look through our photos we dream of returning to this special part of France. We highly recommend this gite! "

Left on 05/03/2014 for a stay in March 2014 | LynnI cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is inviting, the kitchen is so handy, and even a washing machine! We just brought along a clothesline and hung our stuff out to dry. It is situated in a small gathering of homes in the French countryside, close enough to all the sights for day trips. We got up every morning and went to St. Cyprien for a baguette and pastry, then drove short distances to great places in this fairytale land. But every night we came home to a very quiet, relaxing environment. Make sure you come here first during the day so you don't get lost, but Deborah's directions are perfect. And she is extremely helpful in the planning process - call her!

"We were a family of 3 adults who fell in love with the gite from when we first approached. All the communication prior with Deborah was excellent. Also Marie-josee who met us with the key was great too. It was a great base to explore all the wonders of the Dordogne valley. We shopped at local markets, cooked up amazing meals in the well equiped kitchen and ate and drank too much."Guest from Australia, April 2014
"What taste you and Daniel have ! The gite is just lovely, so welcoming and well equipped. Our daughter especially likes the curtains in her room and beating us at Blokus. All the info and directions were immaculate, thank you. All best wishes and thank you for renting to us!"

“Peaceful landmark in the hills" ...We spend a very relaxing week in the gorgeous gite with our two girls (8 + 10 years). Sometimes we felt like real Frenchmen in this wonderful fairytale-landscape. We loved the cozy bedrooms upstairs and the nostalgic charm of the living room with the fireplace, the stone walls and the big family-table for games in the evening. I very much enjoyed cooking fresh vegetables and meat from the market in the perfect equipped kitchen – you’ll find everything you need! Of course the Weber-barbecue outside made my husband smile! Therefore we loved to eat under the big tree with the wonderful view into the sunset when everything around is totally quiet except some late birds or a neighbors’ dog. By the way the neighbors are very friendly and if we had a question, Marie José was with us within some minutes (as our French is quite little, it was easier to talk face to face). During the days we discovered the characteristic and interesting cities and villages around. The girls swam in the river and experienced the Gouffre Proumeysac with its fantastic light and the exciting gondola-drive down into the cave (it is worth to do this). Finally not to forget the amount of adventure parks around with climbing courses… they are so much better than in Germany! This nice little gite within this region, so full of wonderful places, will always be a wonderful memory."Guests from Germany, August 2014
"Dordogne is magical! So much history to explore and things to see. What even made it more special is Deborah and Dan's wonderful gite to go home to after a full day of activity. It's extremely comfortable and well equipped with all that you need to enjoy your vacation. The location is superb and accessible to many of the nearby villages and popular sites. Yet the quiet and serene setting offers the tranquility and respite to be able to relax and simply appreciate what Dordogne has to offer. I had such a fantastic time and I can't say enough about this lovely home! Thank you for an amazing and memorable vacation, Dan and Deborah!"
